Metropolitan Handicap Grade I

Monday saw the running of the Grade I Metropolitan Handicap at Belmont Park. Only a small field of 6 faced the starter but there were plenty of quality horses in this field including future Hall Of Fame candidate Alpha Ultimo.

Other horses of note to race included LionKing and Liberate My Madness, but it was Alpha Ultimo with F Jara on board who proved too strong for the competition, beating Christmas Snow (K J Desormeaux) and LionKing (E S Prado).

Virtual horse racing provides a cheap alternative to real life horse racing yet allows owners to experience the thrills of winning. For his efforts today, Alpha Ultimo earned his owner $360USD in prize money. He has now earned over $6700USD for his owner.
